Southampton High School senior Rolando Bonilla Reyes recently signed a letter of intent to continue his athletic pursuits in college. He committed to playing soccer at SUNY Old Westbury, where he will study finance.
Reyes said he selected the university for its academics, soccer program and quaint campus.
Reyes has been playing varsity soccer for the past two years and club soccer since the sixth grade. He grew to love and excel in the sport after switching from baseball to soccer in middle school. At Southampon, he earned All-Conference and Senior All-Star titles, and through East Hampton Soccer Stars, he earned the opportunity to play the sport in tournaments in Ecuador and Colombia. In his senior year, he will play in Florida.
The Southampton School District congratulates Reyes on his dedication to his sport.
