Student-Athlete Signs with College

Southampton High School senior Jake Cook recently signed a letter of intent to continue his athletic pursuits in college. He committed to running cross-country at SUNY Delhi, where he will study criminal justice.

The senior said he selected the college for its academics, running program and campus location. 

Cook serves as captain of his cross-country team and has been running cross-country and track since his freshman year. He earned the title of All-League as a junior and senior, was a member of the 2024 Suffolk County Championship Team and helped his team earn the Class C Championship title. As a student-athlete, he also participates in his school’s Unified Sports program.

The Southampton School District congratulates Cook on his dedication to his sport.
