The Southampton High School Latino Cultural Club recently hosted a successful 13th annual soccer tournament, raising $2,000 for ENL Achievement Scholarship Awards. The scholarships will be awarded to two outstanding members of the Southampton Class of 2025, Maria Buelvas and Paula Valentin.
Teacher Maria Gaizo-Clinton’s team won this year’s tournament, with teacher Lila Piccozzi’s team earning a second-place finish.
The event was a success thanks to the district’s administrators and faculty, as well as community businesses and organizations including Hampton Coffee Company, marcelo.design, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Heras Fuel Oil Corp., the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center, the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center, Heart of the Hamptons and Housing Help Inc.
