It is Graduation Week! Please Read this Important Information!

Dear Class of 2025 Students, Parents & Guardians, 

It is going to be a big week! We are so excited to celebrate the Class of 2025 at our Commencement Ceremony. Below are some updates and important information. 

Weather & Our Ceremony: 
As we move closer to the ceremony, please know that we are constantly monitoring the forecast for inclement weather. Please know that it is our goal to ensure that our ceremony is held Friday evening without having to use the Sunday, June 29th rain date. Unless there is weather that completely prevents us from safely being outside Friday evening, please anticipate that our ceremony will be held on June 27th as planned. With the weekly forecast including hot temperatures and some possible rain showers, we ask all graduates and guests to prepare accordingly for the big day.

Chromebooks:
All graduates are required to turn in their Chromebooks, chargers and stylus at this time. These items were collected during gym classes while school was in session. For those who did not return their items, please be sure to return your items to the ELC during school hours, no later than this Wednesday, end of school day. Please note that individual students will experience a significant delay in departure time at Thursday' graduation rehearsal if a school device is not returned prior. 

Graduation Rehearsal: 
Our mandatory graduation rehearsal takes place on Thursday, June 26th at 11 AM. This is a mandatory graduation rehearsal. Please note that students must be in attendance at this rehearsal in order to be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. Our rehearsal will begin with a special luncheon in our cafeteria. Students will then proceed to the turf for our rehearsal. We will end the day with students receiving their caps, gowns, special gifts, and more. Please note that all students should have their fines/fees resolved and Chromebooks returned by this time. Not doing so will result in significant departure delays. 

Graduation Day:
The SHS Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 27th at 6:00 PM on the turf field. All graduates are required to arrive at Southampton High School at 3:00 PM on that day. Students who drive will be required to park in the SIS parking lot. Students will participate in another quick rehearsal, have the Class picture taken, receive honor stoles and cords, and much more. 
Because our graduation ceremony is outside on the turf, no tickets are required and all are welcome. Doors will open approximately 4:45 PM or as soon as the class is finished with their events on the field. Please note that seating is first come first serve and the saving of seats for guests not present is strictly prohibited. 

Rain Date: 
As stated above, in the event of inclement weather, our graduation ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 29th at 1:00 PM. With that said, it is our goal to hold the ceremony as originally planned on June 27th at 6:00 PM. 

We are so excited for our graduates and wish the Class of 2025 all the best. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2025 at our graduation ceremony!
