Southampton Students Gain Inspiration At LILTA Leadership Conference

Posted Date: 03/24/26 (06:13 PM)

Twenty Latina students from Southampton High School recently attended the 2026 LILTA Leadership High School Conference, where they engaged in a series of empowering discussions and activities designed to support personal and academic growth.

The conference included panel sessions such as “Women Leaders Paving Paths for Young Women,” where students connected with accomplished professionals in the fields of science, business, education, law enforcement and communications, among others. Panelists shared insights into their cultural backgrounds, personal journeys and the challenges they had overcome while pursuing higher education and building their careers.

A highlight of the event came during the closing luncheon, when sophomore Anahi Rosas courageously spoke about her experience, reflecting on the impact of hearing from these influential women. She shared her thoughts with fellow Latina students from across Suffolk County, contributing to a meaningful exchange of inspiration and support.
