Southampton Astronomy Students Explore Rocket Science

Southampton High School juniors and seniors recently brought a lesson on space exploration to life by launching rockets in their astronomy class. The hands-on activity gave students an opportunity to explore the challenges of rocket launches and deepen their understanding of the technology behind space exploration. Through the lesson, they learned how rockets generate the power and motion needed to overcome Earth’s gravity and travel into space.
